About the information centre
The Community Information Centre is now operating from Shop 2, 33-35 Murray Street, Wonthaggi. Community Relations Officers are available to answer questions, discuss issues and receive feedback.
Visitors can also find:
- A model of the plant site
- Detailed project maps, including maps of the pipeline and power easements
- Full EES Report, CD and summary brochure
- Environmental studies
- Brochures and poster displays describing the project
- Information on the Government’s Water Plan
- DVD presentation
The centre is an excellent source of information on the project. With expanded information displays and helpful staff, the Murray Street centre can cater for community and interest groups seeking presentations about the project.
The Department of Sustainability and Environment opened the first Project Information Office in Wonthaggi in September 2007. The centre is now managed by AquaSure’s design and construction contractor Thiess Degrémont.
