Landowners
The Victorian Desalination Project is working with about 125 landowners affected by the underground pipeline and power supply easement.
The project is committed to close landowner liaison through the Department of Sustainability and Environment (DSE) Property Team and AquaSure’s Landowner Liaison Officers.
DSE has consulted with landowners since 2007 to conduct environmental and technical studies to determine the location of the easement.
DSE is currently liaising with landowners on acquisition and compensation for the permanent easement and temporary occupation of adjoining land during construction.
AquaSure and its contractor, Thiess Degrémont Nacap, are the key contacts for landowners with regard to design and construction and reinstatement and rehabilitation of the pipeline and power supply.
DSE is the key contact for acquisition and compensation.
AquaSure and DSE are co-ordinating their activities to help landowners and each landowner has been provided with contact details of their liaison officers.
The easement runs through the Bass Coast Shire, Cardinia Shire and City of Casey.
