Goulburn System - Living Murray
The Minister for Water has approved the request from the Minister for Environment and Climate Change to amend the Environmental Entitlement (Goulburn System - Living Murray) 2007. The amendment enabled 29,300 ML (long term average) of water savings to be transferred to the environment. This water will contribute to the Living Murray Initiative. These savings have been secured through the implementation of Phase 1 of the Shepparton Irrigation Area Modernisation Project.
The amending order came into effect on 12 November 2009 after being published in the Victorian Government Gazette No. G46, p2925:
